Foodex Japan: Valcolatte Conquers the Asian Market

Confirmations and new opportunities in Asia.

The 2026 edition of FOODEX Japan has proven to be a strategic event for the Japanese market and, more generally, for the Asian region. The event recorded a high quality of contacts and allowed us to consolidate relationships with long-standing customers, while also offering interesting ideas for the development of new channels.

CONSOLIDATED RELATIONSHIPS AND NEW CONTACTS

Caseificio Valcolatte’s presence has strengthened relationships with distributors already active in the Japanese market, such as MC Foods, Foodliner, Monte Bussan, and Japan Europe Trading, allowing the presentation and tasting of various products, including the company’s new products. In parallel, the fair generated promising new contacts, including COSTCO, and also offered positive signals from the Korean market, with the possibility of reactivating collaborations on key references such as Burrata Frozen.

ORGANIZATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND FUTURE PROSPECTS

The organization of FOODEX Japan 2026 has proven to be extremely efficient, with an Italian area managed by the Piacenza Food Consortium and a typically Japanese operating standard. Despite a slightly lower turnout than in the 2025 edition, the event provided concrete insights into the dynamics of the Asian market and development opportunities. Future prospects confirm FOODEX Japan as a key platform to consolidate Caseificio Valcolatte’s presence in Japan and Asia, paving the way for new collaborations and the launch of products to be promoted in the short term.
